Last year I saw the Writing with Thread: Traditional Textiles of Southwest Chinese Minorities exhibition. Ever since then, their intricate jewelry has haunted me. I've never been able to find pictures online that depict exactly how exquisite their jewelry is in person. Maybe the library has some books on this stuff and I can get some scans... For now, here are some silver Miao neckpieces.

these are incredible. there's some insane jewelry at MAD (museum of art + design) in nyc you should see if you ever come here...pretty sure it's in the permanent collection.
