What's better than a weekday off? Having a friend have the same weekday off, too! Yesterday, Kristin and I ventured to Makiki to visit The Contemporary Museum.
Saw delicate wooden flowers sprouting from the floors and walls by Yoshihiro Suda:
(I wanted to, too!)
Watched George Rickey's Two Open Triangles Up Gyratory:
Then we ate. I don't like feta cheese, but the one I ate was so awesomely creamy that I could've just had that for lunch. And then I was really glad I straightened my hair yesterday because, daaamn, does it make a difference in my new ID picture!
Also, I'm rediscovering how awesome combs are. Rediscovering because I haven't owned a brush or comb for a few years. I'm not the only one, right?

LOVE the triangle sculptures..so awesome you got to see those in person
I've never been to the Contemporary Museum.
Ohhhh, I love the flowers sprouting from concrete! It would be so lovely to make an industrialized space softer.
...what a beautiful garden...if we were a couple, we could hold hands...

About the brush/comb thing.. I used to never brush my hair. Somehow the tangles would just come out in the shower. I don't know what changed, but now I'm back to being a brusher...
