i had it all along

My excuse was that I didn't have any leather or waxed cotton cord. In actuality, I had it bagged up in my box of supplies the whole time I've been in New York!

Generally, I don't take inspiration from anything in particular, but tonight this image from a play directed by Robert Wilson has been lingering in my mind.

And, oddly enough, Fleetwood Mac (Rumours era) and Fever Ray on shuffle have been really doing it for me lately.

So after I sifted through some supplies given to me when I still lived in Hawai'i, I busted out two necklaces. One for me and one for the roomie. I was planning my outfit for tomorrow night around a pair of crazy pants, but I might have to plan it around this new necklace of mine. Or do crazy pants and new necklace. I think I'm FINALLY getting my groove back.

Today is my friend Chelsea's birthday and that's what we'll be doing.
The only thing missing for tonight is this cool party hat.

xexy

Once, a friend said I looked like Xerxes when I wore chains on my head.
He was also high.
In conclusion, I need chains for mah head.

denim up top

My denim shirt with a patchwork yoke wants me to take a seam ripper to it.
And my denim jacket from high school wants me to spray it with bleach.

Dhoti, The New Drop Crotch?

I can see the Camilles and Lulus of the world rocking this style next year.

P.S. My eBay items are up! I'm a wittle sad to part with them, but I know they'd be put to better use in the closet of someone else! If you like sequins, crop tops or Emanuel Ungaro, check it out! Don't know why, but this crop top isn't showing in my items so here it is.

I'm Not a Flashy Person...

But I freaking loooove this look.

-----------------------------------------------------------------

Me and my friend met up to study tonight and we ended up discussing life and its experiences and feelings that come along with it. We had a really good talk and I felt like we both let out a lot that only we feel comfortable sharing with each other. Only ten minutes of our three hour meet up was spent studying, but each minute was well worth it.

All in all, life is good and I truly look forward to what each day brings!

P.S. Gap. Boy. Shoes. Newwwww.

Still Loving It & Kinda Loathing That

It feels weird to say I still love it even though it's not technically fall.

Know what I mean??

And I am on a hunt for some bad ass flat sandals. I have to walk to school, so flats are a must, and it's freaking hot, so ventilation is another must. And it's always hot here in Hawai'i, so I'm forever in flat sandals!

No strappy, gladiator shenanigans please. Every girl on campus is wearing a pair. So far, I've considered flower painted wooden clogs and those brown drugstores sandals with the nubby insoles.

Anyone got some suggestions that come in size five and are reasonably priced?

Oh, and as you can see I totally have time to blog and do messy Photoshop collages. Must be that only two days of school schedule I (geniusly) put together this semester.

I Wanna Bow Tie

I was on the hunt for a cheap bow tie today, but Macy's doesn't even carry them and Sears only had a tacky black clip on (aka an attached bra strap).

My shopping trip wasn't all bad though. I got a little boy's leather belt at Sears and a rubber spatula from Williams Sonoma.

Boy's belts are the perfect length for cinching at the waist because you don't have to worry about all that extra belt flapping around. And those rubber spatulas rock because they're easy to clean! Next up for the kitchen is a new rice cooker that doesn't make the rice stick to the pot (they do exist, my mom owns one).
